filter at revolution room
Filter opened for Bush a few days ago in Dallas in front of about 2000 at The Palladium Ballroom. In contrast, the intimate show at Rev Room Wednesday night in from of about 200 was a Filter fanatic’s dream.
Anybody who wanted to could watch this band of 90’s fame up close and personal. One ridiculously rabid fan caught lead singer Richard Patrick’s attention by fist pumping non-stop just a foot away from him. “This guy is the f’n bomb!” Richard remarked. “I just wish he’d quit wacking me in the shin!”
The around 90 minute set consisted of songs off Filter’s new CD, “The Trouble With Angels,” favs from the “Short Bus” album, and their most popular tunes, “Take A Picture” and the finale, “Hey Man, Nice Shot.”
If you love live music, you know there’s nothing like an up close and personal show with any worthy band, and Filter absolutely fit the bill.
